Trojan

Trojan horse is a type of malicious software (malware) that disguises itself as legitimate software. It is designed to gain access to a computer system without the user’s knowledge or permission. Once installed, it can be used to steal data, install additional malware, and even take control of the computer. Unlike computer viruses and worms, Trojans generally do not attempt to inject themselves into other files or otherwise propagate themselves.
